North Ink is a local workspace for people keeping personal intentions and direction notes. It brings together adjustable 0–359 degree ring with locally saved heading notes. Visitors can tap cardinal or adjust angle, then marker/readout move together, then save and reopen a note. The interface keeps its working actions close to their context, so the next decision is visible. Illustrated ring, no GPS or sensor readings, no minted heading identity.

A precise interface often pushes uncertain language out of view. North Ink makes room for both. The angle can be exact while the sentence beside it remains tentative, personal and open to revision.
The ring is a coordinate for a note, not a measurement of a person. Moving the marker and readout together gives the choice a visible consequence. Saving the associated sentence makes it possible to reopen the context, rather than only the degree. Cardinal shortcuts let a visitor begin broadly before making the setting more precise.
The paper margin is deliberately larger than the measurement. That gives tentative language room to sit beside a precise angle without being forced into a classification. A note might explain a plan, hold a memory or describe an unfinished thought. North Ink does not score those uses. Its restraint is that it saves the chosen text and degree locally, leaving the meaning with the writer rather than turning a private sentence into a claim about a person.
A saved plate returns with its bearing and text. It stays in this browser, so a local archive needs the same care as any notebook you would hate to lose. A direction can change before the memory does. Keep the old note if it still matters. Reopening a plate is a way to see what you were trying to hold.
